Our Brand Story

The Paradise Story began with a small spark that fired into a grand influence. The little spark began with Seafood Paradise – a humble 25-seater coffee shop in Defu Lane in 2002. Its location was inconspicuously set in an industrial area. In many ways, it lacked glitz and glamour but the taste it offered more than made up for it. The foodies in Singapore came by in the droves, in support of the sumptuous yet reasonably-priced dishes. Spurred by this success, our founder Eldwin Chua was determined to make Seafood Paradise a prominent showcase and opened a second outlet at the iconic Singapore Flyer. This brought Seafood Paradise to the height of attention. The brand gathered not just a local fan base but an international crowd appreciative of Singapore seafood delights. Then, Paradise was poised to grow into a successful brand. Being a culinary enthusiast and a visionary entrepreneur, Eldwin continues to grow the Paradise brand. Having honed his culinary and business talents, he kept firm to his belief in creating great food at good value for food lovers. In a short span of 13 years, the Paradise empire grew rapidly into 10 well-received restaurant concepts, including two quick service F&B concepts, serving customers at more than thirty restaurants. Apart from our restaurants, Paradise Group also has catering arms which bring the irresistible taste of paradise to homes, private and corporate functions.

Paradise Group has also set her foot onto foreign land including the opening of over 20 restaurants in Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Japan, China, Hong Kong, Philippines and London.
